Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) FSU Team

Windows Administrator

January - February 2016

The CCDC is a nationwide cyber defense competition. In this competition teams of 8 members are given a range of virtual machines (some Linux based, some Windows) that are all running different services critical to a theoretical businesses key function. These machines are then brutally attacked for hours on end by a team of trained hackers known as "The Red Team". As a windows administrator I was responsible for :

  • Hardening and Defending Windows systems
  • Auditing functions and security logs
  • Maintaining an up to date and accurate change log
  • Sending detailed and timely Incident Response reports
  • Responding to on the spot "Injects" (IT based tasks to complete while defending your system.)

Our team came 9th in the Nation and our Windows Systems maintained a 100% up time.

The Children’s Campaign
Cross functional Tech intern

Summer 2015

The Children's Campaign is an organization that fights for children’s rights throughout Florida. In my time there I handled a wide range of IT based responsibilities.
These included:

  • The graphic and structural redesign of all of their promotion documents
  • Overseeing updates and managing their web page
  • Preparing presentations when the company was lobbying for a cause
It makes me very happy to say that they still use the logo I made for them to this day.
